Kristen Bell to Romance Michael Rady and Nick Stahl on Showtime’s “House of Lies”

Thursday, July 7th, 2011

Kristen Bell’s dance card on House of Lies is officially pretty damn full.

The new Showtime comedy has cast Melrose Place‘s Michael Rady and Carnivàle‘s Nick Stahl as love interests for Bell’s corporate consultant character, Jeannie, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Rady will play the recurring role of Wes, a moneyed golden boy who may be a bit too conservative for Jeannie. Stahl, meanwhile, will guest star in one episode as Kurt, a musician who makes Jeannie question what she wants out of life and love (my guess: no-strings sex with a hot musician).

Lies, based on Martin Kihn’s hit tell-all book How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time, revolves around dueling corporate management consulting firms. The cast also includes Don Cheadle, Ben Schwartz, Josh Lawson, Dawn Olivieri and Glynn Turman.

Kristen Bell Tells Us: I Don’t Want a Wedding Ceremony

Thursday, May 5th, 2011

Kristen Bell is the furthest thing from a bridezilla.

The Scream 4 actress, who’s currently engaged to Dax Shepard, told Us Weekly she’s not planning to walk down the aisle — ever.

“We’re just not having a wedding, so there’s no story to report there,” she announced at the FriendFactor benefit in NYC on Tuesday. “I mean, we’re still getting married, but we’re going to do it whenever we feel like it.”

“The fact that he asked me to marry him is of a little more importance than me planning a party,” she added.

Wedding ceremony or not, Bell — who recently filmed a pilot for Showtime’s House of Lies — told Us that things have never been better with the Parenthood actor, 36.

“He constantly keeps me laughing: when I’m sad, mad, frustrated, annoyed. Regardless of what it is he can lighten the mood. He’ll do anything that the mood requires,” she gushed. “I can’t get frustrated and that is a very powerful weapon. Comedy is a very powerful weapon. He’s so funny that it’s overwhelming.”

“I really don’t have bad days, you know what I mean?” Bell, 30, continued. “Even if it’s me being frustrated, he’ll make a joke about me and it’ll be so genuinely funny that I have to laugh.”

Did Kristen Bell Get Married?

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Was it a misnomer – or did Kristen Bell have some very happy news to share?

On Wednesday night, the actress, who is engaged to actor Dax Shepard, Tweeted a photo of him watching American Idol with a (possibly) revealing caption.

“My adorable husband, @daxshepard1 voting 4 his favorite american idol. Over and over again,” she wrote.

A rep for Bell assures PEOPLE they are not married, and she has called him “husband” a few times in the past.

Last year, Bell, 30, who will appear next in Scream 4, raved about her relationship with Shepard, telling Parade, “I never loved dating. I think it’s very uncomfortable to put yourself out there and be vulnerable.”

“I’m much more comfortable in a relationship,” she continued, “and I’m very happy.”

Kristen Bell Named #48 on “99 Most Desirable Women of 2011″

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

The website AskMen.com has just released their list of the top “99 Most Desirable Women of 2011″ as chosen by their visitors, and Kristen Bell was named #48!

Why Kristen Bell Is No.48

Kristen Bell is every nerd’s dream. After breaking out as the eponymous gumshoe in the underrated CW series Veronica Mars, Bell’s turns in Heroes and Fanboys made her the ultimate sex symbol for the Marvel set. Since her early days as a pin-up in the making, Bell has used her unusual combination of endearing dippiness, wit and straight-up sex appeal to craft one of the most dynamic careers in Hollywood. Her turns as the icy title character in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and as the neurotic Cynthia in Couples Retreat proved that the veteran stage actor has what it takes to achieve big-screen success, and upcoming roles in the films Scream 4, Movie 43 (in which she plays Supergirl), Everybody Loves Whales and Dance of the Mirlitons will only cement her place as our generation’s Goldie Hawn.
