Kristen Bell is coming back to give Heroes a jolt.

The Gossip Girl narrator will be reprising her role of the electricity-slinging Elle Bishop on the NBC drama’s third season, a network rep confirmed to E! News.

The malcontented character was last seen learning that her Company-leading pop had conducted endless experiments on her when she was a little girl, a revelation that didn’t leave her electromagnetic hands very happy.

She then unwittingly saved Mohinder, Molly and Maya from Sylar’s latest attempt at mass murder—although she failed to cap the power-hungry psycho—and, touched by Mohinder’s gratitude, calmly said, “Cool.”

“I’m just happy to be electrocuting people again!” the 28-year-old Bell, who will have another multiepisode story arc, told People, which first reported the news.

The third season of Heroes premieres Sept. 22.

Kristen Bell says there’s one person she’s never forgetting: Detroit Red Wings star Chris Osgood.

Maybe not a household name to non-hockey fans, but Bell says that growing up as a tomboy in Detroit, she considered Osgood “my first crush.”

“Brad Pitt be damned – he had nothing on Osgood’s rookie skill and sad eyes,” Bell, 26, says on NHL.com. “There was actually a day in high school when I wrote on a name tag ‘Mrs. Osgood’ and wore it the whole day. I really thought we were perfect for each other. I’d love to meet him – and probably apologize that things never worked out.”

Needless to say, the star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall is rooting for Osgood’s Red Wings, who are up two-games-to-none in the Stanley Cup Finals, with game three set for Wednesday on NBC.

“I grew up in Detroit and have always been a huge Wings fan. They have heart, skill, class – and the best color combination known to man,” she says. “That is why they will win.”

The nominees had barely been posted when two stars from the critically acclaimed romantic comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall - Kristen Bell and Russell Brand - surged to an early lead in the annual “World’s Sexiest Vegetarian” contest at PETA.org.uk. Bell - perhaps best known for her title role on the long-running TV series Veronica Mars and who currently stars as a sultry vixen on the hit series Heroes - is a long-time vegetarian and has said, “I have always been an animal lover. I had a hard time disassociating the animals I cuddled with - dogs and cats, for example - from the animals on my plate, and I never really cared for the taste of meat. I always loved my Brussel sprouts!”Brand gained fame as the host of his own show on BBC Radio and is currently filming a movie with Adam Sandler. In his 2007 memoir, My Booky Wook, Brand wrote, “I became vegetarian at 14. - I’ve never regretted it. - It’s the only opportunity I get to occupy the moral high ground. ‘You’re vegetarian?’ comes the enquiry. ‘Yes.’ Then the inevitable, ‘Do you eat fish?’ - I have to stifle a smug grin when I reply, ‘No. No, I don’t eat fish because it’s cruel to them, the lovely little things’”.

Other celebrities who’ve gone vegetarian to protect animals, the environment and their own health - and who are in hot pursuit of Bell and Brand in the PETA poll - include actors Hayden Panettiere, Emily Deschanel, Milo Ventimiglia, Anthony Kiedis, Abbie Cornish, Casey Affleck, Lake Bell, Leona Lewis and Jason Schwartzman; rapper Mos Def; and pro basketball player Raja Bell of the Phoenix Suns. Past winners include Carrie Underwood, Chris Martin, Natalie Portman, Andre 3000, Tobey Maguire, Prince, Alicia Silverstone, Kevin Eubanks and Shania Twain.
